Card Petal Punch - Frankenstein Box.

Hi all,

Have recently been playing with my Petal Card Extra-Large Double Punch as seen on P.104 which completes two full processes in one punch. It punches once to create the inside score lines and again to cut the outside lines. Because both processes happen simultaneously, you only have to press the punch once and you get double the results!

Not only does it co-ordinate with the Level 2 Hostess stamp set, Cute By The Inch, but there are many great projects using this versatile punch. I decided to follow a tutorial and made a Frankenstein Box. I'm really pleased with it and can't wait to make more of his little friends :) It's perfect for holding a Drumstick inside too so a winner with the kids big and small.

Frankenstein Card Petal Punch Box

Cardstock: Old Olive and Basic Black (Textured).
Inkpad:
None.

Thursday already...

Hi all,

Hope you're looking forward to the weekend :) Just wanted to pop by and say "hi" and that I've been busy here making a few commissioned Christmas cards for a lady. Unfortunately, although they're finished, I'm not sure if it's safe to post them here on my blog in case the recipient accidently sees them, so look out for them in December sometime! lol.

I have an upcoming workshop to demo at on Saturday afternoon for a group of ladies at a local craft club, so I'm looking forward to showcasing the new Idea Book & Catalogue and all the goodies I've acquired so far to the ladies ;)

Watch this space after Saturday for a couple of new items I've recently made for the weekend.

Sorry: Change of plan to my original idea that I've striked out above. I have decided that my card kits that I offer in my Wednesday Evening Session will use some of the card layouts from Saturday, so it'll be Thursday at the earliest that I can release peeks of what the ladies saw from the weekend :)

Until then,

Bye for now,

Alex

Hope you've had a great weekend and enjoyed the sunshine we had yesterday!

Below I used the wheel to create a background pattern on the Whisper White cardstock in Pretty In Pink ink. I then stamped and cut out another babygro out, coloured with a Stampin' Write Marker, covered with Dazzling Diamonds for some extra sparkle and adhered with a dimensional.

Contempo Christmas Card

Happy Monday everyone!

Hope you've had a good weekend and ready for another week :)

Just wanted to upload a new card that I have made recently, it was showcased at my Open House Afternoon on Saturday, and I think this stamp set was a winner with the ladies. What's great, this stamp set can be bought in both wood mount and clear mount - so you have the option to buy in clear mount which is cheaper, more space saving as it comes in a DVD style case BUT still has the high quality rubber that Stampin' Up! are well known for :D

Stampin' Up! Open House Afternoon

Hi all,

I'm still on a high from my lovely day yesterday, so much so that I think I've been surviving on adrenaline rather than sleep! lol.

After my Stampin' Up! Class in the morning and my Open House Afternoon from 2pm I finally got in my PJs as soon as my last lady left and I retired to bed and didn't wake up till around 6pm!!! Oops, I guess those late nights are finally catching up with me.

Anyway, yesterday's Class went well and you can see the cards the ladies made in my previous post here.

Yesterday afternoon I had my Open House Afternoon, an event to invite my Stampin' Up! customers/friends over to have a look at the new Idea Book & Catalogue, look at samples I've recently made with new goodies, see a demo from myself and play with new products/colours to create a Make & Take.

It was lovely to see so many women so excited about Stampin' Up! and I think they all had a great time :)

Here's the card I demoed to the ladies below using another new favourite colour of mine: Cherry Cobbler! I have teamed up Dasher along with a Level 3 Hostess stamp set called Occasional Quotes that I was able to purchase earlier last month as a perk of being a Demonstrator. YOU can earn for free for a qualifying workshop.
