Mini Catalogue Blog Hop

Welcome to the Mini Blog Hop tour of the exciting new products that are featured in the Mini Catalogue soon to be released and available to buy from Thursday 1 April onwards.

If you have come from Lorraine's M blog, then you're right on track! There's currently 15 of us in this Mini Blog Hop, which has been organised by Helen. In fact, this Mini Blog hop, is the 2nd of 3 and hopefully with a bit of luck, it'll run smoothly and you'll have lots of fun hopping from one blog to the next following the links.

I hope you've enjoyed looking at Lorraine's gorgeous projects using the various new products from the new Mini Catalogue. Enjoy looking at my new creations using "Framed With Love" stamp set from the new Mini Catalogue featured on page 10.

This stamp set comprises of a set of 7 stamps and they're very suited to both cardmakers and scrapbookers. In fact, the inspiration and project idea using this stamp set in the Mini Catalogue on P.10 is a scrapbook page that features most of the stamps and could so easily be adapted! I was toying with the idea of making a scrapbook page layout for today's Blog Hop, but have decided to chicken out and will leave you with a couple of cards and a box instead :)

I absolutely love the "damask" type stamp in this set and have decided to create a wall paper/patterned paper effect with the help of my trusty Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for all my creations below! Similarly, the heart stamp within this set co-ordinates beautifully with the Full Heart Punch that is on special promotion until Wednesday 31 March. After this date, the punch will only be available to buy in 6 months time! I know, 6 months is an awfully long time, so if you have your eyes set on this stamp set, and perhaps you already have "Simply Said" and maybe the old Sale-A-Bration 2009 stamp set "Polka Dot Punches" then you need to get this punch quick!

Okay, enough of my waffle, after all, you're only interested in the Mini Catalogue products, so here they are:

Bar Mitzvah

Hi all,

Hope you're all enjoying your weekend and having a good Father's Day. Wanted to upload the Bar Mitzvah commission that I had last month as it's safe to do so now. The lady ordered a few different gift card wallets for some upcoming events, so here below is one for a Bar Mitzvah celebration:

Inside - when you slide off the band

These gift card wallets are a great idea to give someone - either to enclose a cheque or to put a gift card in for the recipient.

Easter Weekend.

Hi all,

Well it's Good Friday today, so a lovely long weekend of cardmaking :)

Yesterday I started to make a gift wallet for holding the many gift cards that are readily available at the tills that are so popular nowadays. Thanks to Carole for the tutorial, I have cased her idea and made mine into a gift card for Father's Day - 21June.

What a Weekend :)

Hi all,

I'm so
thankful to all of you who sent special good luck wishes my way for my first SU Open House Day that was held at the weekend :) I received a beautiful card off my upline, Carole on Friday which was a lovely surprise to wish me good luck as she was unable to come on the day. I haven’t managed to take a photo of her card yet, so I’ve copied and pasted her card from her blog (hope that’s okay Carole). Here it is below:

So, on Saturday it was my first SU Open House Day and I'm pleased to say that it went very well. I thank so many people for making this possible, my Mum and my beau especially as they helped make the day run smoothly and a success :) It all kicked off at 1pm and I opened my house to friends who have a passion for crafting. I had a pleasant turnout and thank Janet, Elizabeth, Erin, Alison, Debbie, Adrienne, Sandra, Barbara and Pauline for coming and making my event a fun and successful one. We had a lot of fun making a couple of cards for a make and take session and the ladies all went home with a stamp from the SAB promotion Polka Dot Punches to play with :) Hope you've inked them up ladies!

It was lovely to have met so many new faces on Saturday who share a passion in papercrafting, a hobby I can't get enough of! I can't wait to see you all next month in my cardmaking class :)

Below are the make and take cards the ladies were able to make.

Round One

The ladies were able to choose to make a card either in a combo of Rose Red/Pretty In Pink/Regal Rose, Certainly Celery/Apricot Appeal/Barely Banana or Night of Navy/Ballet Blue/Bashful Blue and had the option to stamp it up in either the baby rattle, birthday cupcake or birthday present from the stamp set Occasionally with a sentiment from Fun & Fast Notes.

Here are the pictures of these cards:

Round Two

For the ladies that were able to stay for longer, there was a second make and take to make using the Loads of Love stamp set and Loads of Love Accessories with various tools such as the Stamp-a-ma-jig, Crop-A-Dile and different sized tag punches.

Here is the completed card using Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel and Designer Paper Series.

Also, displayed in the lounge I had a table full of various Stampin' Up! literature, SU goodies that I've been making over the upcoming weeks. I know so many of you are dying to see more than my sneak peeks that I posted earlier last week, so here they are in all their glory. Hope it was worth the wait.

New Goodies Made For Open House Day...

Hi blog,

Well what a busy weekend I've had crafting-wise :) Next Saturday is my SU Open House Day, so until then, I've been busy making SU goodies to show off for the day so that people can see the potential of cardstock, rubber stamps and an ink pad or two! Not only can you make cards, but other 3D items too or scrapbook layouts, the potential is limitless.

The other week I uploaded a couple of pilllow boxes that were made using Loads of Love stamp set and Fun & Fast Notes, so I decided to make a few cards to match.

Below are sneak peeks of all the items I've been busy making over the past weekend. Hope you like and will return after next Saturday to see all the 3D items and cards in their full glory :) Enjoy...

Fun & Fast Notes - Altoid Tin

Hope you've enjoyed viewing my little sneak peeks :) I'll post back in the next few days when I've finished making a card for each 3D item I've made :) and will upload the corresponding sneak peeks. lol.

Until then...

SU Samples

Okay, so on Saturday I made a start on some sample cards using my new rubber stamps, ink
pads and cardstock that I received in my Starter Kit from SU. I've been dying to have a play with them, just needed to find some time.
So, on Saturday I made the following cards using various SU products:

1) A simple girly card to give to someone for Valentines to show they're thought of:

Inside of card:

Recipe
Stamps:-

Sealed With A Kiss (2008-09) - Set of 6 - P.16. I have used one of the stamps inside the card and have stamped the circle with the heart again so that I could cut and apply on top of the original image to make it 3D.

SU Cardstock - A4 Whisper White and Pretty in Pink - P68-69.
