Large Card Storage Tote.

Morning all,

Another day goes by and the roads are getting a lot better to drive on :) As promised I have some photos to share with you of the recent Large Storage Tote that I made on Sunday. I finished making this late Sunday night and took a few photos (knowing that with the poor lighting, I would do more in the morning). Then, Monday morning I took a few more around 7.30am, again the lighting wasn't the best, but had to do some in case I didn't get a chance later. I was hoping to take the pictures in better lighting conditions around midday-ish, but unfortunately, the Large Card Storage Tote left home around 9am and the lighting wasn't much better, so I'm afraid the pictures are the best I could do given the time frame I had.

So, without further ado, here are a few photos from different angles of the Large Card Storage Tote:

Sweet Pea Card Storage Tote

Hi all,

Hope you're having a good week and looking forward to the weekend. Just wanted to upload something that I made a while back, but just haven't got round to posting until now. Part of the reason was because I was waiting to finish off the little pocket at the front with a velcro dot or a magnetic clasp and hadn't got round to buying any, so finally, here it is :)

Anyway, my Mum is off to a Macmillan Coffee Morning today and I said she could take this Card Storage Tote for one of the raffle prizes so I included a couple of cards inside too.

I absolutely love the designer series papers I used and co-ordinated the inside with other cardstock colours to match. I will be sad to see the Sweet Pea Paper Stack go once the Mini Catalogue ends on 30 September as these are not continuing to the new Idea Book & Catalogue out on 1 October. Until then, you can get the 48 sheets: 24 double sided designs paper stack at 50% off for just £9.75 until stocks last or until 30 September. The papers are lovely, idea for scrapbooking/mini albums/3D projects and cardmaking. Shh... but I had to buy a couple of these Paper Stacks recently so that I can cut up the papers without worrying that it's my only sheet, lol.

From a tutorial sold by Lynda, here is the card storage tote below:

Card Storage Tote - Side

Card Storage Tote - Back (loving those butterflies)

Think I'll have to make a few more of these soon as they make great gifts for people and I can use up some of those beautiful papers!

If you'd like to order yourself a Sweet Pea Paper Stack , the lovely ribbon that I've used which is also retiring at the end of this month, or any other Stampin' Up! products, then please send an email to alexhau@rocketmail.com and I'll put an order through for you :)

Enjoy your day and see you tomorrow with the 40th birthday card that I sneak peeked earlier.

Bye for now,

Alex

Workshop - Greenhouse Garden

Morning all,

Hope you've got something nice planned for this weekend :)

Just stopping by to show off the finished gift for the recent Hostess, using Greenhouse Garden stamp set with a couple of sentiment stamps and some co-ordinating punches. As the lady likes pink and green, have made three cards in three different shades of pink and green to show off the lovely colours that Stampin' Up! has to offer. Some of these colours will retire at the end of September as part of our new Colour Renovation, so if you love them and need to stock up on these colours and co-ordinating accessories, please let me know ;)

So, below are the three cards and matching box, thanks to Jo for the tutorial.

Workshop - Greenhouse Garden

Morning all,

Okay, so with "Greenhouse Garden" stamp set being one of my favourites and on offer this month, how can you refuse to have a little play?!?

The Hostess from my recent workshop received a handmade gift from me as a thank you for allowing me to demo at her Craft Club. Her favourite colours are pink and green, so I decided to make a number of cards in those colours for her. Below is a card I demoed to the club, that also made up one of the cards she received from me.

Card Demo

This card is based on the same layout as the previous one made here. Just changed the colour combo, Designer Series Papers and stamp set, and hey presto! The background has been stamped with one of the middle line stamps, firstly on some scrap paper, then onto the Whisper White cardstock so that it's a more subtle effect. The edges have then been inked with a Sponge Dauber and matching Pretty In Pink ink.

Stamps: Greenhouse Garden and Oval All.
Cardstock: Pretty In Pink, Mellow Moss and Whisper White. Designer Series Paper - Tea Party.
Inkpad:
Pretty In Pink and Mellow Moss.
Accessories: Taffeta Ribbon - Mellow Moss, Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Sponge Dauber, Bone Folder and Dimensionals.
Card Size:
A6

Thanks for stopping by, and please visit again tomorrow to see the second card that made up the Hostess Gift.

Bye for now,

Alex

Today's Workshop - Crazy For Cupcakes

Hi everyone,

Hope your weekend has started off well :) My ladies came today and made two cute projects using Crazy For Cupcakes stamp set. The card was totally inspired and CASEd from this lady here, who has kindly allowed me to use for the workshop today :)

As soon as I saw the cute Sweet Shop looking design, I just knew I had to use the Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper as there's two sheets of stripey designs perfect for the shop awning. From there, how could I not use Rich Razzleberry matching cardstock??? Isn't it lovely... this colour will be added to our Colour Collection - Brights in October's new Idea Book & Catalogue.

Have had Crazy For Cupcakes stamp set for a while, and haven't yet demonstrated this in a workshop setting, so thought it was about time. Cupcakes are so adorable and they have a lovely wheel called Cupcakes to match :) The ladies had a great time colouring in the cupcakes with pastels (Poppin' Pastels Technique), Stampin' Write Markers and Stampin' Glitter - I finally christened my Fine Cosmo Glitter that I've had for ages!

So, enough of my waffle, here's the projects in full:

Crazy For Cupcakes Card:

Stamps: Crazy For Cupcakes.
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Pale Plum, Whisper White. Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper (12 sheets: 2 ea. of 6 double-sided designs - only available while supplies last).

Workshop Today - Wedding Themed Cards

Hi all,

Hope you're having a good Bank Holiday weekend and will find a bit of time to do some crafting with the extra day off work :)

I had my monthly workshop this morning and the ladies came away with two cards each using the stamp set Mr & Mrs and the lovely Speciality Papers which I just adore and can't believe it's taken me till now to order them seeing as they've been available to buy for the past 7 months! lol.

As it's Wedding Season upon us, thought it was ideal to make a couple of wedding themed cards this morning, which could quite easily be used for Anniversary cards too. So, after seeing the sneak peeks of the cards the other day, here they are in their full glory:

Card One

This card uses the brayer to colour the Whisper White Speciality Paper - Bride in Blush Blossom to match the colour of the base cardstock. Using a brayer and any ink pad colour from the four colour families over these papers allows you to create your own papers from the choice of Stampin' Up!'s 48 different colours. This card also uses the lovely white satin ribbon too which again, is lovely.

Stamps: Mr & Mrs.
Cardstock:
Blush Blossom and Whisper White. Speciality Paper - Bride.
Inkpad:
Blush Blossom. Versamark Stamp Pad.
Accessories: Brayer, 5/8" Satin Ribbon - White, Embossing Buddy, Stampin' Emboss Powder - Silver and Clear, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, SU Bone Folder, Paper Snips and 3D dimensionals.
Card Size:
8.5" x 4".

Card Two

This card was inspired by Jo, a fellow SU Demonstrator. Taking her card as a starting point, I used the same layout, substituted her layers with the Speciality Paper and changed the colour combo and little embellishments. Thank you Jo, you can see her card here :)

Stamps: Mr & Mrs.
Cardstock:
Basic Black Textured cardstock and Very Vanilla. Speciality Paper - Bridesmaid.
Inkpad:
Basic Black. Versamark Stamp Pad.
Accessories: 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon - Basic Gray, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, SU Bone Folder, Paper Snips and 3D dimensionals.
Card Size:
A6.

Here are the two completed cards together that were made earlier today in my monthly workshop:

Hope you like these and they have inspired and given you some ideas on how to use this stamp set teamed up with the lovely Speciality Papers :)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend - Remember to check out today's Stampin' Up! Offer on how to get products in three of the new colours coming to the new Idea Book & Catalogue this October.

Hi all,

Really enjoying playing with my new stamp set, "My Sweet Pea" from the Mini Catalogue and have decided to use more colours out of my comfort zone to create a bright colourful card! lol. Friday again!

Hello people,

It's been another busy week here and the sun is shining :) Thought I'd upload a few more cards that I have been working on from the weekend.

After liking the scallop dresses and getting the hang of how to make these, I made a few more:

After making the Certainly Celery card the other day and uploaded it, I experimented with the oval punches and a sentiment for this one. I'm undecided whether it needs this or not, so made all the other ones without! lol.

Hope you like,

Non-Stamping Wedding Card

Hi all,

Hope you're well and having a good week so far.

Anyway, after making a waterfall card for the first time the other day and enjoying the process of making one using my Christmas stamps, I decided to try out another one but use my Wedding Cuttlebug embossing folders instead.

This is mainly a non-SU card, apart from using the Round Tab Punch, Ribbon and Very Vanilla Cardstock.

Confirmation Cards

Hi all,

Hope everyone reading this post are well and have been enjoying the beautiful weather wherever you are. I can't believe it's been a while since updating my blog, but it's been extremely busy this end so I've now got a spare moment to do a little catching up :)

So, since it was the end of May yesterday, I can now officially upload the three Confirmation Cards that I was commissioned for earlier. Kate lent me some gorgeous Papertrey Ink stamps so that I could do these cards, so I was ever so grateful for her kindness.

Here they are:

Be back later for another upload of earlier sneak peeks.
