Today's Workshop - Spring Theme.

Hi all,

Had a fabulous day today seeing ladies who love to craft :) Thanks to Betty for allowing me to demonstrate at her craft club.

As a thank you for allowing me to come along, I made Betty a little gift - a box to hold some foiled chocolate eggs inside and an Easter card as her request for today's workshop was for a Spring theme. Below is the gift box I made, which is like the one made for my Christmas Class here, except I used spring-like colours and combined it with the Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Punch Bunch. The card that I also demoed for the club and gave away will have to wait to be revealed as this will be part of my April Cardmaking Class so sneak peeks will be shown in due course.

Here is the Hostess gift:

Scallop Circle Box - For You (Side View - Lid On)

Scallop Circle Box - For You (Side View - Lid Off)

Stamps: Punch Bunch (SAB 2011).
Cardstock: In Color: Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White. DSP: Sunny Garden.
Inkpad:
Daffodil Delight.

Box Size: 3-5/8" x 2-1/2" x 2-1/2".

So, based on the request of Spring, I decided to use Greenhouse Garden stamp set for the Make & Take as it's a favourite of mine and thought the ladies could handle the stamp-a-ma-jig to do the two-step stamping technique.

Here are the cards the ladies made below, in a choice of either Melon Mambo or Pumpkin Pie:

Greenhouse Garden - Melon Mambo with Pretty In Pink

Greenhouse Garden - Pumpkin Pie with Daffodil Delight

Stamps: Greenhouse Garden (P.51) and Oval All (P.64).
Cardstock: Confetti White, Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie.
Inkpad:

Card Petal Punch - Frankenstein Box.

Hi all,

Have recently been playing with my Petal Card Extra-Large Double Punch as seen on P.104 which completes two full processes in one punch. It punches once to create the inside score lines and again to cut the outside lines. Because both processes happen simultaneously, you only have to press the punch once and you get double the results!

Not only does it co-ordinate with the Level 2 Hostess stamp set, Cute By The Inch, but there are many great projects using this versatile punch. I decided to follow a tutorial and made a Frankenstein Box. I'm really pleased with it and can't wait to make more of his little friends :) It's perfect for holding a Drumstick inside too so a winner with the kids big and small.

Frankenstein Card Petal Punch Box

Cardstock: Old Olive and Basic Black (Textured).

None.
Accessories: Petal Card Extra-Large Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, Mini Glue Dots, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Bone Folder, Paper Snips. Non-SU: Easy Glue Eyes (7mm), Black Fineliner Pen.
Box Size:
1" x 1-1/2" x 5/8".

Here's what the shape of the punch looks like on P.104 of the Idea Book & Catalogue:

Here's the co-ordinating stamp set that matches on P.12 called Cute By The Inch:

Cottage Wall DSP Box

Hi all,

So, after yesterday's post about some of the products in new colours retiring tomorrow, I thought I'd make a box to show off the lovely colours and papers along with a Level 1 Hostess stamp set that you can still earn for free for a £150 order (last day for orders tomorrow).

The Level 1 Hostess Stamp Set, Punches Three is a set of three stamps (P.11) and one of them is called "True Blue Friend". I don't know about you, but I find this saying a little strange, so I got my craft knife and carefully sliced off the "True" and "Blue" so that when inked up and stamped, it would just leave "Friend" stamped :) See below for a picture of what I've done:

True Blue Friend Stamp

I'm really pleased with the way it now stamps and have christened it to make the box below using one of the double-sided sheets from the Cottage Wall DSP collection:

Cottage Wall DSP Box - Top

Cottage Wall DSP Box - Front

Cottage Wall DSP Box - Side

Stamps: Punches Three (Level 1 Hostess Stamp Set) (Last Chance List).
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Whisper White. Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper. (Last Chance List).
Inkpad:
Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive.
Accessories: Scallop Square Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Sponge Dauber, Bone Folder, Paper Snips, 3D Dimensionals.
Box Size:
3-5/8" x 2-1/2" x 2-1/2".

Hope you like the box which can be filled with all sorts of goodies of your choice. Thanks for stopping by, have a good day.

Workshop - Greenhouse Garden

Morning all,

Hope you've got something nice planned for this weekend :)

Just stopping by to show off the finished gift for the recent Hostess, using Greenhouse Garden stamp set with a couple of sentiment stamps and some co-ordinating punches. As the lady likes pink and green, have made three cards in three different shades of pink and green to show off the lovely colours that Stampin' Up! has to offer. Some of these colours will retire at the end of September as part of our new Colour Renovation, so if you love them and need to stock up on these colours and co-ordinating accessories, please let me know ;)

So, below are the three cards and matching box, thanks to Jo for the tutorial.

Explosion Box

Morning all,

Yay: It's the weekend!

Recently had a bit of time and decided to experiment and make an Explosion Box. I've not made one before but like the idea of how you take off the lid to reveal an "explosion" of something special inside. I plan to embellish the inside of the box below with pictures of my cute nephew.

I decided to use up my retired DSP called "Junior Varsity" as it's nice and colourful for children.

Here's the completed box:

When you take the lid off:

Inside, revealing the 12 x12 sheet of matted layers, without the embellishing:

Stamps: Seeing Spots.
Cardstock: Certainly Celery. Textured 12 x 12 Cardstock - Bashful Blue. DSP - Junior Varsity (retired).
Inkpad:

Accessories: Sponge Dauber, 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon - Brocade Blue and Bone Folder.
Box Size:

Today's Workshop - Crazy For Cupcakes

Hi everyone,

Hope your weekend has started off well :) My ladies came today and made two cute projects using Crazy For Cupcakes stamp set. The card was totally inspired and CASEd from this lady here, who has kindly allowed me to use for the workshop today :)

As soon as I saw the cute Sweet Shop looking design, I just knew I had to use the Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper as there's two sheets of stripey designs perfect for the shop awning. From there, how could I not use Rich Razzleberry matching cardstock??? Isn't it lovely... this colour will be added to our Colour Collection - Brights in October's new Idea Book & Catalogue.

Have had Crazy For Cupcakes stamp set for a while, and haven't yet demonstrated this in a workshop setting, so thought it was about time. Cupcakes are so adorable and they have a lovely wheel called Cupcakes to match :) The ladies had a great time colouring in the cupcakes with pastels (Poppin' Pastels Technique), Stampin' Write Markers and Stampin' Glitter - I finally christened my Fine Cosmo Glitter that I've had for ages!

3D Box - Vintage Vogue.

Hi all,

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. Life is really busy at the moment, and I just haven't found much time for crafting :( I'm really having withdrawal symptons, so I'm glad that I have my Workshop tomorrow so that I can be in the company of my lovely crafting ladies for some chatting and crafting!

A while back I was in a Chinese Cafe/Cake Store and I spotted some cute shaped boxes that they package their cakes in. I couldn't resist, and just had to ask for a box! lol.

Well, here's the box below, it's very similar to the one that Lauren Meader has a template for.

Chinese Cake Box

Even this box without my crafting touch looks lovely - can you spot the side of the box - a picture of a lady at the cafe having lunch? How cute is this!

Anyway, I opened up the box to use as a template and here's my take on the same box:

Cake Box - Vintage Vogue

Sunday ramblings

Hi all,

Hope you've all been having a lovely weekend, it certainly was warm here - the sun was just shining all weekend long :)

Anyway, have been busy making a few cards and boxes and thought I'd share. Remember I made a paper piecing card using Crazy For Cupcakes stamp set the other week? Well, I've made a matching box that I'm really pleased with. Here's the complete combo, hope you like:

That's it for now, have a good week.

Another Week...

Hi all,

It's another week gone by since my last blog post. It's been a very hectic week this week, so apologies for not being able to do any blogging. I can however, show off my sneak peeks that I posted earlier :)

Remember I mentioned that my Mum's friends son and wife had a baby. Here is the card I sent them:

I also made a matching box so that I could fit in some little socks in, but unfortunately, when I bought the little socks there was so much card/packaging, they were unable to fit and I was short of time, so I couldn't make another box :( I'm sure I'll make a use for this box another time:

Have a good weekend.

Accordian Card Organiser Box

Hi all,

Well this week is turning into another beautiful day, weather wise. After making a Christmas card yesterday for the Stamp With Us Challenge, I was in the mood for some more festive themed goodies, so I decided to follow a tutorial and create my own accordian card organiser box to hold my Christmas cards in.

As a first attempt, I'm really pleased with how this turned out :) I'm due to go to a Macmillian Coffee Morning at the end of the week, so I plan to make another one of these with about five matching cards and envelopes as my gift.

Hope you like it, I've used the retired stamp set "Flaky Friends" which I think are adorable :)

Granddaughter Commission

Hi all,

Hope you're well and looking forward to Friday :) Thought after my earlier sneak peek of the Confirmation Cards, you'd like to see another commission that I can now reveal. A number of invitations and purse boxes along with a large A5 card was commissioned by a lady who's celebrating her special Granddaughter's birthday this month.

Hope it was worth the wait!
