Penguin Candy Cane Holder
Can you believe we woke up to snow this morning! It does look pretty on the floor, but chaos on the roads!
I have recently been making a few things for an upcoming Christmas Pamper/Shopping Night so here's a Penguin Candy Cane Ornament/Holder below:
I originally saw these a few years ago when we didn't have various punches to Stampin' Up! UK. Anyway, now that we have these punches, I found that my templates are larger than the original punches, so I had to use my templates to draw round the shapes and cut by hand. Talk about labour of love!
Hope you like my little penguin.

Alex

Ornament Keepsakes
Hi all,
With a great promotion for November, I just had to give in to buying the Ornament Keepsakes Bundle! I love the ornament on the front cover of the Autumn/Winter Catalogue and just knew I had to make one. Recently cranked up the Big Shot (alot) and reproduced the ornament, which I'm really pleased with. The picture doesn't do it justice, but believe me, there's lots of Dazzling Diamonds on there!
Ornament Keepsakes
Stamps: Ornament Keepsakes (Autumn/Winter Catalogue, P.3 Set of 9 stamps).
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green (In Color 2012-14). DSP - Be Of Good Cheer (P164).
Inkpad: Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green (In Color 2012-14).
Accessories: Big Shot Machine, Framelits Dies - Holiday Ornaments, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Simply Scored, 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon - Very Vanilla, 3-1/2" Scalloped Tulle Ribbon - Cherry Cobbler, Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons, Large Pearl Basic Jewels, Dazzling Diamonds, Paper Snips, SU Bone Folder, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, 2-Way Glue Pen, Silicon Mat, Crop-A-Dile and Hot Glue Gun (Non-SU).
If you're interested in doing a class on this, please let me know. Alternatively, you can buy a kit from me to create this lovely ornament if you live further a field.

Christmas Crackers
Hi all,
Yesterday was a wonderful day with family. I laid the dining room table the night before and added my own crackers this year! I used the following tutorial to make the crackers using my favourite Christmas colour combo of Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive along with the now retired Jolly Holiday DSP and matching ribbon. Treats inside consisted of everyone's favourites; various Lindt chocolates, Quality Streets, Jelly Babies and Ferrero Rocher, along with a cheesy Christmas joke :)
Here's my one below:

All-Day Large Card Storage Tote - This Saturday.
Hi all,
Hope you're all well and have been enjoying the lovely weather we've been having recently, despite today's downpour for most of the day that is!
Have been busy preparing for my Large Card Storage Tote Event being held this Saturday at my home where the ladies will make their own personalised tote to house their A5 and A6 cards in the designated months :)
I've been busy making a sample for the ladies to view and perhaps for me to keep! lol.
Here's a sneak peek of it below using a mixture of both retired and current Stampin' Up! goodies.
Large Card Storage Tote

See you on Saturday for the Large Card Storage in full.
Until then, enjoy the rest of your week.

Today's Workshop - Spring Theme.
Hi all,
Had a fabulous day today seeing ladies who love to craft :) Thanks to Betty for allowing me to demonstrate at her craft club.
As a thank you for allowing me to come along, I made Betty a little gift - a box to hold some foiled chocolate eggs inside and an Easter card as her request for today's workshop was for a Spring theme. Below is the gift box I made, which is like the one made for my Christmas Class here, except I used spring-like colours and combined it with the Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Punch Bunch. The card that I also demoed for the club and gave away will have to wait to be revealed as this will be part of my April Cardmaking Class so sneak peeks will be shown in due course.
Here is the Hostess gift:
Scallop Circle Box - For You (Side View - Lid On)

Scallop Circle Box - For You (Side View - Lid Off)

Stamps: Punch Bunch (SAB 2011).
Cardstock: In Color: Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White. DSP: Sunny Garden.
Inkpad: Daffodil Delight.
Accessories: Scallop Edge Border Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, 1-3/8 Circle Punch, 1-1/4 Circle Punch, Stampin' Write Marker - Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz, Sponge Dauber, Bone Folder, Window Sheet, Mini Glue Dots, Sticky Strip and 3D dimensionals.
Box Size: 3-5/8" x 2-1/2" x 2-1/2".
So, based on the request of Spring, I decided to use Greenhouse Garden stamp set for the Make & Take as it's a favourite of mine and thought the ladies could handle the stamp-a-ma-jig to do the two-step stamping technique.
Here are the cards the ladies made below, in a choice of either Melon Mambo or Pumpkin Pie:
Greenhouse Garden - Melon Mambo with Pretty In Pink

Greenhouse Garden - Pumpkin Pie with Daffodil Delight

Stamps: Greenhouse Garden (P.51) and Oval All (P.64).
Cardstock: Confetti White, Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie.
Inkpad: Melon Mambo, Pretty In Pink, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight.
Accessories: Scallop Trim Border Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, Bone Folder and 3D dimensionals.
Card Size: A6.
Stamp sets used today are as follows:
Greenhouse Garden (P.51):

Oval All (P.64):

Thanks for stopping by. Just six more days left of Sale-A-Bration so be quick with any last minute orders!
See you tomorrow with another recent card that I've made.

Sweet Pea Card Storage Tote
Hi all,
Hope you're having a good week and looking forward to the weekend. Just wanted to upload something that I made a while back, but just haven't got round to posting until now. Part of the reason was because I was waiting to finish off the little pocket at the front with a velcro dot or a magnetic clasp and hadn't got round to buying any, so finally, here it is :)
Anyway, my Mum is off to a Macmillan Coffee Morning today and I said she could take this Card Storage Tote for one of the raffle prizes so I included a couple of cards inside too.
I absolutely love the designer series papers I used and co-ordinated the inside with other cardstock colours to match. I will be sad to see the Sweet Pea Paper Stack go once the Mini Catalogue ends on 30 September as these are not continuing to the new Idea Book & Catalogue out on 1 October. Until then, you can get the 48 sheets: 24 double sided designs paper stack at 50% off for just £9.75 until stocks last or until 30 September. The papers are lovely, idea for scrapbooking/mini albums/3D projects and cardmaking. Shh... but I had to buy a couple of these Paper Stacks recently so that I can cut up the papers without worrying that it's my only sheet, lol.
From a tutorial sold by Lynda, here is the card storage tote below:
Card Storage Tote - Side

Card Storage Tote - Back (loving those butterflies)

Think I'll have to make a few more of these soon as they make great gifts for people and I can use up some of those beautiful papers!
If you'd like to order yourself a Sweet Pea Paper Stack , the lovely ribbon that I've used which is also retiring at the end of this month, or any other Stampin' Up! products, then please send an email to alexhau@rocketmail.com and I'll put an order through for you :)
Enjoy your day and see you tomorrow with the 40th birthday card that I sneak peeked earlier.
