Male Birthday Card

Hi all,

Hope you're well and looking forward to a long Bank Holiday weekend :) I can't believe another one is nearly upon us so quickly already :) I just *hope* the weather is kind to us.

Recently made a male birthday card after being inspired by the current Idea Book & Catalogue - using the Hostess Level 3 stamp set, "Queue Up". Using the lovely row of candles stamp, stamped on three different coloured strips of cardstock. The Whisper White strip of candles was coloured in using the Stampin' Write Markers and then I stamped and coloured in another set of candles so that I could create a 3D look with the 5th, 7th and 9th candle raised on dimensionals.

Queue Up

Stamps: Queue Up (Hostess Level 3) and Happy Moments (Sale-A-Bration 2010).
Cardstock:
Night of Navy, Ballet Blue, Bashful Blue and Whisper White.
Inkpad:
Ballet Blue, Bashful Blue and Basic Grey.
Accessories: Stampin' Write Markers, Word Window Punch, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, SU Bone Folder, Paper Snips and 3D dimensionals.

Have a good day,

Vintage Vogue Card

Hi all,

Hope you're well and looking forward to the weekend.

I've been playing with my Vintage Vogue stamp set of 8 stamps (that I received at Reading Training) to make a few 4x4 cards for a lucky Hostess and really have enjoyed playing with the different stamps to create five different cards and matching envelopes. I recently ordered the Very Vintage wheel to co-ordinate with Vintage Vogue stamp set and christened it for this card.

Here's the card I demoed below at a recent workshop. I will upload a new one each day and then the final holder I presented them in.

A Rose Is A Rose Birthday Card

Hi all,

Well can you believe it's half way till the weekend :) Today I have been making a card for a wonderful 94 year old, and I think it's safe to say that she doesn't surf the net, so I think I can post the card here :)

I was inspired by this card and knew I had to have a go and get out my "A Rose Is A Rose" stamp set that I adore and haven't used for a while. I rarely use my Designer Series Papers (too nice to cut into), lol, but I decided to today. As this card is A5 in size, I decided that there was too much white space, so I have used the Poppin' Pastels technique (stamping the large rose in Versamark Stamp Pad, then using a Sponge Dauber to lightly dab Barely Banana chalk over the wet image for a subtle background. The sentiment is from a stamp set called "Whimsical Words" from the recent Sale-A-Bration promotion that ended in February.

A Rose Is A Rose

Stamps: A Rose Is A Rose, Whimsical Words (sentiment).
Cardstock:
Certainly Celery and Whisper White. Patterns Designer Series Paper - So Saffron.
Inkpad:
Barely Banana, So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Old Olive. Versamark Stamp Pad.
Accessories: Sponge Dauber, Stampin' Pastels - Barely Banana, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, SU Bone Folder, Paper Snips and 3D dimensionals.

My Sweet Pea Thank You Card

Hi all,

Really enjoying playing with my new stamp set, "My Sweet Pea" from the Mini Catalogue and have decided to use more colours out of my comfort zone to create a bright colourful card! lol. Isn't it typical, once you know you're not going to be able to buy certain colours again, you start to use them more? After 31 September, most of the colours I've used on this card will be retired, with the exception of Tempting Turquoise :)

Here's the card using My Sweet Pea

Stamps: My Sweet Pea, Oval All (sentiment).
Cardstock:
Tempting Turquoise, Green Galore, Pink Passion, Only Orange, Pixie Pink and Whisper White.
Inkpad:
Green Galore, Pink Passion, Only Orange. Versamark Stamp Pad.
Accessories: Stampin' Writer Marker - Tempting Turquoise and Pink Passion, 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon - Whisper White, 1" Circle Punch 1-1/4" Circle Punch, Small Tag Punch, Tag Punch, Rhinestone Brads - Circle Ice, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, SU Bone Folder, Paper Snips and 3D dimensionals.
Card Size:

Have a good day, thanks for popping by.

Bye for now,
