Valentine's Day Card...

Hi all,

Well the week is flying by and I can't believe it' s now Friday! Over the past week or so, I have made a few Valentine's Day cards but have yet to upload them here.

I decided to finally christen last years Sale-A-Bration stamp set called "Yummy" for the sentiment and the swirly frame :) I love how you can use the marker pens so that you can choose to ink up only certain areas of your rubber stamp.

I have a few Sale-A-Bration 09 stamp sets available to purchase from me if you're interested in getting your inky hands on one. Please email me on alexhau@rocketmail for more information.

Here's the card below:

Haitian Disaster Relief

Stampin′ Up! demonstrators have a long history of making a difference in the lives of others - especially when disaster strikes and the need is greatest. So it was not surprising that so many demonstrators contacted Stampin' Up! in the past week asking what the plan is for helping to provide relief for those who continue to suffer from the effects of the earthquake that struck Haiti on 12 January.

Stampin' Up! have already bought some supplies for 5,000 hygiene kits, have been assembling and packaging them up, even the Stampin' Up! president, Dale Fillmore has been busying :) For more info and pictures from the Cofounder and CEO Shelli, see on her website here.

Here is the plan:

From now until 28 February 2010, £1 from every Greenhouse Garden stamp set sold will be donated to the Red Cross’ International Response Fund. The Red Cross is already well-established in Haiti, and this money will be used to provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need.

Stampin' Up! demonstrators share what they love.

That’s how you make a difference.

Please do everything you can to lend a hand to the people of Haiti.

Earlier this month, my January workshop focussed on this stamp set, see here for what the ladies made. If you would like to purchase this beautiful two step stamp set to create some fabulous cards, gift boxes and just about anything else with some cardstock and an ink pad or two, then please do not hesitate to contact me on alexhau@rocketmail.com Below is another example using this fab stamp set that I was commissioned for recently, hope you like:

If you would like to order this stamp set from me (Item No: 113824 for £22.95) and help to make a difference to the people of Haiti, then please do not hesitate to contact me to place an order before Friday 28 February.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sale-A-Bration!

Hi all,

Well, what a miserable day it is today - hasn't stopped raining all day!

Have found the time to christen my Sale-A-Bration stamp sets and decided to make a birthday card - you can never have enough, right? I tried to be good and use different Stampin' Up! products/colour combos that I haven''t used before, so in my attempt, I can say that the Always Artichoke cardstock was a first for me, along with the So Saffron Grosgrain Ribbon. This is the second time I've used the Poppin' Pastels technique that's featured in the "Stampin' Techniques" booklet on P.10 (a handy booklet that you receive when you place an order with Stampin' Up!) Love how this creates a soft and subtle effect :)

Here's the card:

Stamps: Sale-A-Bration: Happy Moments and Vintage Labels (sentiment).
Cardstock:
Always Artichoke, So Saffron, Regal Rose and Whisper White.
Ink Pad: Basic Grey and Regal Rose. Versamarker Pen.
Accessories:
Stampin' Pastels - Pretty In Pink and Old Olive, Sponge Daubers, Eyelet Border Punch, 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon - So Saffron, 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon - Whisper White and Stampin' Write Marker - Pretty in Pink, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, 3D dimensionals and Bone Folder.

Card Size: A6.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend everyone.

Greenhouse Garden Workshop

Hi all,

Well I hope all's well with you and you're getting back to normal now that the snow has melted away.

It was my first workshop of the New Year yesterday, and I think the ladies had a fun time making a couple of cards using the Greenhouse Garden stamp set. We did a lot of playing at the beginning to practise lining up the two-step stamp set using the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, so much so we over ran the workshop by more than an hour and a half! lol... oops. Anyway, the ladies did a great job and managed to create the cards below beautifully.

Due to the bad weather and snowy/ice conditions, my first Stampin' Up! Workshop of the year has been rescheduled to Saturday 16 January.

Happy Friday!

Hi all,

Hope you've had a good week and looking forward to the weekend :)

Wanted to use my much neglected "All In The Family" stamp set and after having a look online I was inspired by cutiepiecards, so decided to CASE this.

I decided to add a tree in the background using another neglected stamp set from the Mini Catalogue called "Forest Friends" with my Stampin' Write Markers. I also made some grass by snipping the Certainly Celery cardstock vertically and added matching Certainly Celery poly-twill ribbbon (the ribbon that's offered in my Blog Candy). Lastly used my new "Choo Choo" stamp set to add some clouds to the card with 3D Dimensionals.

Here's the finished card:

Stamps: All In The Family, Forest Friends and Choo Choo.
Cardstock:
Ballet Blue, Real Red, Whisper White and Certainly Celery.
Ink Pad: Basic Grey and Bashful Blue.
Accessories:
Stampin' Write Markers - Chocolate Chip, Garden Green, Blush Blossom and Ballet Blue. Certainly Celery Poly-Twill Ribbon. Large Tag Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, 3D Dimensionals and Bone Folder.

Card Size: A6.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Please feel free to leave me a comment if you have time.

Have a great weekend and be back later tomorrow to reveal my Workshop cards.

Bye for now,

Alex

Saturday here..

Hi all,

Well, what a cold day it has been. After postponing my workshop till next Saturday, I decided to do a bit of crafting seeing as I had all the craft stuff out. Have made a few samples of a Baby Shower card today - which I won't be able to reveal till after they've all been made/sent out/received by all.

I can however, show you a recent birthday card I made for my Mum's friend, Audrey who is celebrating her birthday today :)

I really love A Rose Is A Rose stamp set, and like the previous ones I've made, I've based it more or less the same, just used the fabulous Eyelet Border Punch instead of the Scallop Edge Punch and used different "Old Olive" Designer Series Paper to create the below card:

A Rose Is A Rose

Stamps: A Rose Is A Rose.
Cardstock:
Barely Banana, So Saffron, Old Olive and Whisper White. Patterns Designers Series Paper - Old Olive.
Ink Pads: So Saffron, Barely Banana, Old Olive and Certainly Celery.

Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Grosgrain Ribbon - Old Olive, Bone Folder. Cuttlebug Embossing Folder - Swiss Dots.
Card Size: A5.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy New Year!

Well hope whatever you got up to last night, you rang the new year in with lots of bubblies :) Can you believe it's now 2010! Early January last year I signed up to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, which has been the best decision I've made, a whirlwind of a year learning lots, making new friends online and offline and I have had a blast. So, my thank you to you, I thought some Blog Candy might be in order :) Check back by the end of the weekend to see what's up for grabs...

Until then,

Alex
