Stampin' Up! Open House Afternoon

Hi all,

I'm still on a high from my lovely day yesterday, so much so that I think I've been surviving on adrenaline rather than sleep! lol.

After my Stampin' Up! Class in the morning and my Open House Afternoon from 2pm I finally got in my PJs as soon as my last lady left and I retired to bed and didn't wake up till around 6pm!!! Oops, I guess those late nights are finally catching up with me.

Anyway, yesterday's Class went well and you can see the cards the ladies made in my previous post here.

Yesterday afternoon I had my Open House Afternoon, an event to invite my Stampin' Up! customers/friends over to have a look at the new Idea Book & Catalogue, look at samples I've recently made with new goodies, see a demo from myself and play with new products/colours to create a Make & Take.

It was lovely to see so many women so excited about Stampin' Up! and I think they all had a great time :)

Here's the card I demoed to the ladies below using another new favourite colour of mine: Cherry Cobbler! I have teamed up Dasher along with a Level 3 Hostess stamp set called Occasional Quotes that I was able to purchase earlier last month as a perk of being a Demonstrator. YOU can earn for free for a qualifying workshop.

Stampin' Up! Class - In The Stars

Hi everyone,

Hope you're having a good weekend despite the dreary weather outside!

The ladies came today to make the two cards that I sneak peeked recently which was a success :) The cards were surprisingly quick to make, but effective, especially the tri-fold card! The first card was inspired and CASEd from Julie and the second from Bekka.

Here are the two cards made in the class today:

In The Stars

This card uses a cardstock base measuring 12" along the bottom, scored and folded at 4" and 8". The tallest part of the card measures 8-2/8" high and is cut at a diagonal angle from top left to bottom right to 3" high. The two Very Vanilla pieces of stamped cardstock is adherred to the front of the card base on the first and third panel and the Night of Navy cardstock stamped with the jumbo wheel is adhered on the opposite side in the second panel.

Stamps: In The Stars and Swirling Stars (Jumbo Wheel).
Cardstock: 12x12 Kraft (soon to be called Crumb Cake), Night of Navy and Very Vanilla.
Inkpad:
Bashful Blue, Ballet Blue, Night of Navy, Ruby Red and Soft Suede. Versamark Stamp Pad.
Accessories: Stampin' Around Wheel Guide, Stampin' Around Jumbo Handle, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, Bone Folder, Paper Snips and Dimensionals.
Card Size:
8-2/8" x 4"

Baby Sneak Peeks

Hi all,

Well where has the week gone to? I don't know where, but it's now Friday again.

Recently had good news that my Mum's good friend's son and his wife have recently had a baby boy, so thought I'd make a card and a box to hold a little something for the new baby :)

Here are a few sneak peeks until I know it's safe to do so.

Have a good weekend :)

Another Male Card

Hi all,

Well have managed to make another male card today. I had a Penny Black image lying around and so I decided to colour it in, add some debossing to the background to resemble a golf ball and made it into a 5x5 card.

Hope you like:

SU Products used are Night of Navy and Garden Green Cardstock.
Stamps are by Penny Black - "Missed You".
Background created with Cuttlebug Embossing Folder - Tiny Bubbles - the debossed side to resemble a golf ball.

Another Birthday Card...

Hi all,

WOW: What a day, weather-wise. I can't believe how heavy the rain came down this morning! Anyway, it's brightened up a bit for the afternoon which was good as it's nice to make cards in natural daylight :)

Below is a card I made today using my new Cuttlebug Cut & Emboss set that I recently bought and received. It's a sneak peek I'm afraid because the receiver of this card might accidently see it before the day.

Have a good weekend everyone and will upload the card in full at a later date.

Bye for now,

Alex

Bar Mitzvah

Hi all,

Hope you're all enjoying your weekend and having a good Father's Day. Wanted to upload the Bar Mitzvah commission that I had last month as it's safe to do so now. The lady ordered a few different gift card wallets for some upcoming events, so here below is one for a Bar Mitzvah celebration:

Outside

Inside - when you slide off the band

These gift card wallets are a great idea to give someone - either to enclose a cheque or to put a gift card in for the recipient.

Easter Weekend.

Hi all,

Well it's Good Friday today, so a lovely long weekend of cardmaking :)

Yesterday I started to make a gift wallet for holding the many gift cards that are readily available at the tills that are so popular nowadays. Thanks to Carole for the tutorial, I have cased her idea and made mine into a gift card for Father's Day - 21June.
