Colour Refresh!

What a shocker of an announcement!

Today, we have some news that Stampin' Up! is having a Colour Refresh!  It’s important for us to stay up-to-date with colour trends so SU are thrilled to share an updated line of colours, and hope you will be as excited as I am by the new possibilities!

Why now? In 2010 we did a big Colour Renovation and shared our plans for smaller colour refreshes every three to five years to keep our colours on trend. Well it has been three years and SU are excited to announce that the upcoming 2013–2014 Annual Catalogue will include 10 new colours (most of which are returning In Colors from previous years)!  SU are welcoming back some of your favourites, moving some colours around and introducing four brand-new colours, so take a look!

Beginning today, all retiring/discontinued colour products (i.e. ink, paper, ribbon, accessories, etc.) will be available only while supplies last. This means that some products will not be available through the retired list period.

Below are the colours retiring:
Regal Rose ~ Pretty In Pink ~ Bashful Blue ~ Certainly Celery ~ Baja Breeze ~ Riding Hood Red ~ Bravo Burgundy ~ Not Quite Navy ~ More Mustard ~ River Rock

Contact me soon if you'd like to stock up and buy some of your favourite colours that are soon to be gone!

Colour Renovation: Colour Kits Promotion

Good morning :)

So much to post and don't know where to start!

Okay, so we have our new Colour Renovation starting from today. We have 16 new colours added to our four Colour Collections, so there's lots of new products to start collecting!

If you have already been accumulating our Stampin' Up! Ink Pads, Cardstock, Stampin' Write Marker Pens and all the other accessories, you will know that some colours will no longer be available to you as they were part of the Retiring Colours. In it's place are the following new colours:

Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Marina Mist, Baja Breeze, Pacific Point, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi, River Rock, Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede and Melon Mambo.

So, if you'd like to retrofit your existing Stampin' Up! Products with new colour kits, see the link below, or on the left hand side of my blog for all the details. This way, you can get all of the Stampin' Up!'s new colours (and just the colours you need) without the expense of replacing products you already have! What a great idea :)

Cottage Wall DSP Box

Hi all,

So, after yesterday's post about some of the products in new colours retiring tomorrow, I thought I'd make a box to show off the lovely colours and papers along with a Level 1 Hostess stamp set that you can still earn for free for a £150 order (last day for orders tomorrow).

The Level 1 Hostess Stamp Set, Punches Three is a set of three stamps (P.11) and one of them is called "True Blue Friend". I don't know about you, but I find this saying a little strange, so I got my craft knife and carefully sliced off the "True" and "Blue" so that when inked up and stamped, it would just leave "Friend" stamped :) See below for a picture of what I've done:

True Blue Friend Stamp

I'm really pleased with the way it now stamps and have christened it to make the box below using one of the double-sided sheets from the Cottage Wall DSP collection:

Cottage Wall DSP Box - Top

Cottage Wall DSP Box - Front

Cottage Wall DSP Box - Side

Stamps: Punches Three (Level 1 Hostess Stamp Set) (Last Chance List).
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Whisper White. Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper. (Last Chance List).
Inkpad:
Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive.
Accessories: Scallop Square Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Sponge Dauber, Bone Folder, Paper Snips, 3D Dimensionals.
Box Size:
3-5/8" x 2-1/2" x 2-1/2".

Hope you like the box which can be filled with all sorts of goodies of your choice. Thanks for stopping by, have a good day.

They're here - Brand New Idea Book & Catalogues!!!

Hi all,

What a lovely day I've had today. Started off well with a little visit from Mr UPS Man with a box full of brand new Idea Book & Catalogues!!! Oh, I was in my element earlier and couldn't wait to open up the box and flick through a real copy of the Catalogue :) It's so much nicer to see the Catalogue in real life - smelling that new smell and turning over the crisp shiny pages than scrolling through the Catalogue on a computer screen, lol.

I have been busy making lots of new projects for my Open House Afternoon that I have planned very soon. I have Pre-Ordered a little and have been busy today making a number of cards to show off in a couple of weekends time. I'm loving the new Colour Renovation by the way and think I have a few new favourite colours :)

No sneak peeks I'm afraid, so apologies for the lack of posts and new uploads to my Blog as I can't upload new products from the new Idea Book & Catalogue until 1 October. I have been updating the top post as and when I hear that items off the Last Chance List have sold out. Hopefully come 1st October, I'll be uploading the new Idea Book & Catalogue for you to view online, and new cards I've been making.

If you'd like to get your hands on a brand new Catalogue, please let me know as I am posting them out very soon.

Bye for now,

Alex

Today's Workshop - Crazy For Cupcakes

Hi everyone,

Hope your weekend has started off well :) My ladies came today and made two cute projects using Crazy For Cupcakes stamp set. The card was totally inspired and CASEd from this lady here, who has kindly allowed me to use for the workshop today :)

As soon as I saw the cute Sweet Shop looking design, I just knew I had to use the Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper as there's two sheets of stripey designs perfect for the shop awning. From there, how could I not use Rich Razzleberry matching cardstock??? Isn't it lovely... this colour will be added to our Colour Collection - Brights in October's new Idea Book & Catalogue.

Have had Crazy For Cupcakes stamp set for a while, and haven't yet demonstrated this in a workshop setting, so thought it was about time. Cupcakes are so adorable and they have a lovely wheel called Cupcakes to match :) The ladies had a great time colouring in the cupcakes with pastels (Poppin' Pastels Technique), Stampin' Write Markers and Stampin' Glitter - I finally christened my Fine Cosmo Glitter that I've had for ages!

Exciting News: Colour Renovation...

Hi there,

Well I can hardly contain myself! Stampin' Up! are bringing a new world of colour in

Stampin’ Up!’s Colour Renovation.

For more than two years, they have done extensive research including investigating colour trends in the fashion, home décor and crafting industries and have conducted focus groups involving demonstrators, customers and Stampin’ Up! experts. So, using all this valuable research, Stampin' Up! have announced that they are updating our colours so that you have a fresh, on-trend colour palette to work with!

The new colour palette is organised into four collections: Subtles, Brights, Regals and Neutrals. You will see 25 of our current colours remaining and fifteen new colours will be added to the core colour lines.

Check Out the New Colour Collection

I'm so excited about these colours, there's lots of firm favourites, new additions including In Colours! Something us in the UK haven't had in our past three Idea Book & Catalogues :) So, this is certainly a new step in the right direction of all the Stampin' Up! colours being introduced in all the countries :) No more looking on other people's blogs wishing we had Rich Razzleberry, or Baja Breeze for example! Each year, we'll get 5 additonal "In Colours" to add to our core collection for two years, yes, two years which is a new thing, even for the other countries :)

So, these "collections" as they will now be called will comprise of 10 colours per collection instead of the original 12 in each "family". For a quick list, the colours new are:

Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, River Rock, Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, Riding Hood Red, Cherry Cobbler, Pink Pirouette, Marina Mist, Baja Breeze and Wild Wasabi. Phew!

Now, with the addition of some lovely new colours, there will be some that will no longer be available come October 2010 in our new Idea Book & Catalogue. Below is the list of colours that will be retiring

Fond Farewell

The list of colours that you'll see in the picture above are:

Pink Passion, Pixie Pink, Pale Plum, Orchid Opulence, Lovely Lilac, Lavender Lace, Almost Amethyst, Bordering Blue, Brocade Blue, Ballet Blue, Brilliant Blue, Taken With Teal, Glorious Green, Handsome Hunter, Sage Shadow, Mellow Moss, Green Galore, Gable Green, Barely Banana, Yoyo Yellow, Summer Sun, Apricot Appeal, Only Orange, Really Rust, Ruby Red, Cameo Coral, Blush Blossom, Creamy Caramel, Close To Cocoa and Going Gray.

I know there's a few colours above that I will definitely miss :( What will I do without my blues, and what about my newly favourite colour combo of Cameo Coral/Mellow Moss!

So you have until the end of September in case you need to stock up on any favourite co-ordinating products in the colours that will be retiring. With the release of the new Idea Book & Catalogue on 1 October, the new Colour Renovation will take place, how exciting is that, new colours and In Colours!

Anyway, for now I shall be off, remember this is 6 months away, so in the meantime, we have all the current 48 colours from the Idea Book & Catalogue plus the newly released Mini Catalogue to get excited about!

As soon as I know anymore information, I'll keep you posted.

Bye for now,

Alex
