Bundle of Love - Baby Boy

Morning all,

I hope you've been enjoying the Make A Monster cards I've been uploading recently :) I wanted to upload a girl version today, but unfortunately I haven't taken a photo of it yet and as it's quite dark outside, I'll have to take a picture of it later today in natural daylight to upload tomorrow ;)

In the meantime, here's a card that I made at Wednesday's Evening Session that I copied from my original Stampin' Up! Class at the beginninng of October (which seems like forever ago). Just changed the colour from the original baby girl card to Bashful Blue so that it would be suitable for a baby boy and stamped and heat embossed white rattles in the background instead of the hearts. Hope you like:

Guide To Mounting Your Clear-Mount Stamp Sets

Hi all,

Okay, so with the new addition of Clear-Mount stamps to the Idea Book & Catalogue at the beginning of this month I thought I'd make a step-by-step guide on how to mount your clear-mount stamps ready to be used from the moment you receive them.

Until recently, all my purchases have been wood-mount, but I decided to bite the bullet and order some clear-mount stamps as I think there's many advantages to these.

Once these clear-mount stamps arrived, I opened the case and started to read the instructions on the left hand side so that I knew how to mount these correctly :)

Below is a step-by-step picture guide that I did from receiving your first clear-mount stamps as they come to the finished result. Hope this helps you with your first purchase of clear-mount stamps from Stampin' Up!

Step-By-Step Guide to Clear-Mount Stamps

1. Clear-Mount Stamp Set in dvd like case for easy storage.
2. Inside the clear-mount stamp set case.

3. Red rubber and stamp label sheet.
4. Pop out a rubber stamp and carefully peel off the top of the corresponding label.

5. The back of the red rubber stamp when popped out of it's set of rubber stamps.
6. Peel off the white backing sheet from the red rubber stamp to reveal the grey foam.

7. Place the red rubber stamp over the top of the sticky clear label, lining it up exactly for correct placement.
8. Carefully remove red rubber stamp from label sheet so that the clear sticky label is adhered nicely to the back of the red rubber.

9. The underside of the red rubber with the clear label adhered.
10. All rubber stamps adhered with the clear sticky labels and placed back into the original rubber slots.

11. The underside of the red rubber with all clear sticky labels adhered.
12. Back of the clear-mount rubber stamp set in it's dvd case.

Hope this has been helpful :) Thanks for stopping by and have a relaxing Sunday.

Bye for now,

Alex

Dr Who - Tardis Birthday Card

Afternoon everyone,

Just a quick post to upload a special birthday card I made for the special guy in my life... He's a huge Dr Who fan, something I know nothing about so I did a bit of searching online and came across a blog showcasing the Tardis card with template! Yipee! I couldn't wait to get started on this, everything is made using Stampin' Up! products, except the computer text. Okay, here's the card below:

Dr Who - Tardis - Front View

Must dash as I've lots to do, but be back later this weekend for all the details for this card and more pictures from a different angle or two.

Thanks for stopping by.

Enjoy your Friday :)

Contempo Christmas Card - 3D Baubles

Happy Friday!!!

Just a quick message to upload the Make & Take card from the weekend which was also made by my ladies on Wednesday night using Contempo Christmas stamp set with the addition of Season of Joy. There are three baubles stamped and punched and adhered together to create a 3D effect. As there's only three baubles, it's flat enough to send via Royal Mail without the extra postage, but once received, the recipient can pinch out the baubles together to look 3D as intended :) Below are two pictures, one from the front and one from the side angle. Hope you like:

Contempo Christmas Card - Demo Card.

Morning all,

Hope you're enjoying your week so far :) Last night I had my Evening Session and the ladies came over for a little chat a lot of crafting! They made two cards that I had prepared earlier as I had planned previously to give them the two cards from my workshop at the weekend just gone. They made a slightly altered version of my Demo card and the Make & Take card from Saturday :) I think the ladies enjoyed their time crafting.... I'm sure anyone would rather craft than be at home juggling family life/chores etc. :)

So, below is the card I demoed at the weekend using Contempo Christmas which comes in both clear mount and wood mount.

Note:
Clear-mount are not clear stamps. The new stamps to the Idea Book & Catalogue are repositionable clear-mount stamps which are still the red deeply etched rubber with foam that Stampin' Up! are well known for. They are placed onto clear blocks instead of the maple wood blocks. This way, depending on the stamp and block size, you can limit your stamping time by adding a couple of stamps to the same block and stamp away as normal. Another favourite with clear-mount stamps is the space saving storage as all clear-mount stamps come in a box the same size us a regular dvd case which is great news for crafter that accumulate a lot of crafting goodies over time!

A peek of Clear-Mount stamps on P.7 in the Idea Book & Catalogue:

Okay, got a bit side tracked there, so here is the Contempo Christmas card below which was actually CASEd from my previous card here.

Contempo Christmas

Stamps: Contempo Christmas and Season of Joy.

Thanks for stopping by and pop back tomorrow for the Make & Take card from Saturday's workshop that the ladies also made in my Evening Session.

Have a good day.
