December Workshop...

Hi all,

Hope your weekend is going well. Well, I had my last workshop for this year, and I think the ladies enjoyed making a card with a difference :) We made a stair step card which I cased by Ellen (KEA2004) from SCS, which was originally cased by Julie. Note: I changed the dimensions from the original template, so that it would fit in our UK standard sized envelope. I enjoyed creating this card using most of the stamps from Season of Joy and I look forward to making more of these in the near future.

Next, the ladies made a Peek A Boo Box using the Love You Much stamp set that I received as Blog Candy in October to celebrate the release of the new Idea Book & Catalogue. We used a wheel to run over five of the six faces of the cube, and used a number of punches to create the peep hole and the topper.

Another week...

Hi all,

Hope everyone had a nice weekend and your Monday was a good one. Well, the days are just flying by and I haven't posted in a little while, so here I am, thought I'd catch up with some blogging seeing as I've lost the natural daylight for crafting.

So, last week I had my first Stampin' Up! Evening Session :) I hope I can say on behalf of all the ladies that came, that they had a good time and we managed to get some crafting done in between the tea, biscuits and chatting. It was lovely to meet up with you all and I can't wait to do this again in November.

Be back later with a card or two.

OMG: I Won SU Blog Candy!

Hi all,

What a great day I've had today... After the Blog Hopping that went on late Wednesday night for the release of the new Idea Book & Catalogue, today I received an email from Suzanne Torr that I have been picked in the "night owl" category for the Stampin' Up! Blog Candy that she was giving away :) How cool is that!

I heard about this Blog Hopping event and blog candy and really wanted to enter, but this meant staying up till past my bedtime, lol. So at midnight I was raring to go to do the blog hopping on the three websites that I had listed earlier to leave my comments. Can you believe that at midnight I was trying to look at all their blogs and when I tried to press "Post Comment" it wouldn't allow me for some strange reason. Well as you can imagine, I was in a flap that I had stayed up late to do the blog hopping and candy especially and with all my computer glitches etc I was still frantically trying at 12.50am with no luck! Anyway, as they say the rest is history really, because at 12.54am I managed, eventually to leave a message.

Now I can say it was all worth it staying up till around 1am after all that! I can't wait to see what I find in the mail in due course... all I know is that it's a stamp set, ink pad and a punch... how exciting is that!

Have a good weekend everyone :)

Masculine Cards.

Recently been inspired by Aimes and decided to CASE a card that she made with her PTI goodies. I used Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper, their large star punch and "Basic Phrases" stamp set to create the card along with the ever so popular Kraft cardstock as the base. Here's two colour combos below which I think would make great cards for a male:

Stamps: Basic Phrases.
Cardstock: Kraft, Night of Navy, Real Red and Whisper White. Patterns Designer Series Paper - Bashful Blue.
Ink Pad:
Night of Navy and Real Red.

Accessories: 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon - Night of Navy and Real Red, Large Star Punch. Non-SU: Cuttlebug - Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.
Card Size: A6.

Stampin' Up! Demo.

Hi all,

Just a quick post to say "hi" and that I had a fab evening on Monday night demonstrating Stampin' Up! goodies at a local craft club. Thank you ladies and gentleman for being so warm and welcoming, I had a great evening and I can't wait to do it again soon.

I demonstrated a few different techniques to show the possibilities of what Stampin' Up! can do and here's the results:

Using "Snow Flurries", "Loads of Love" stamp set for the sentiment, some lovely Striped Grosgrain ribbon from the Mini Catalogue, and white embossing powder I created the below card in my favourite colour :)

Next, I demonstrated one of my favourite stamp sets and one of the first that I bought called "Big Bold Birthday". I love how cute this stamp set is and the possibilities you can create with the many different colour combinations. Using this stamp set, here's the card I created:

All cards are A6 in size.

Thanks for stopping by, more cards will be added later.

Crazy For Cupcakes Again...

This card was CASED from a card made by Michele Yoos otherwise known as plaid pony which I received for my birthday in a BRAK group over on SCS. I kept everything the same, just changed the sentiment because I didn't have "Happy Everything".

Stamps: Crazy For Cupcakes, Wonderful Words, and Basic Phrases with a little use of the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for creating "Your".
Cardstock: Rose Red, Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White.
Ink Pad:
Chocolate Chip, Versamark Stamp Pad.

Accessories: Stamp-A-Ma-Jig.
Card Size: A6

Have a good weekend everyone.
